Do they have rats and Roche's
I got the small combination plate. The beef was done nicely, but neither it nor the pork had much flavor. The barbeque sauce was some help, but also a little bland. All that said, I liked the place itself and wish I had taken the time to get dessert. Everything looked good. I'll probably go back one of the next times I'm en route to the Atlanta Airport.I liked this location better than the one near the freeway.
Sprayberry's is a must for any out-of-town guest to give them a true true of historic Newnan. Famous for their barbeque as well as their Brunswick stew, you really cannot go wrong with what you order here. It is bound to be made from scratch and fill of flavor. Perhaps not the healthiest place to eat but every once and a while you deserve some Sprayberry's bbq.
Older decor to go along with the old ways of treating customers properly. Great waitresses and the food was good.
I like the food but the prices are somewhat high.
Hometown feel. Good portions! Delicious smoked chicken. Friendly service.
Decent food. However, one time I wanted to speak with someone at the counter and there was this guy who walked around the corner. He just stared at me until I said what I needed. It was very awkward and creepy. So yeah, good except for that guy (this was in summer 2016).
I have loved Sprayberry’s for 71 years! Just smuggled some to South Carolina where it was the expected hit with a group of former Newnanites! Never been disappointed. I will never forget my “reward” after bush hogging the lot next to the restaurant of a Sprayberry pulled pork sandwich. I thought was the nectar of the gods!
Food always great service was also great my favorite bbq all time
Always great food, great service!
Old school barbecue always great!!!
It's cool that this establishment has been around a while but honestly I don't get the hype. The food was good but was about the same you'd get anywhere.
First time eating in since Covid. as always food was great, portions plenty and service was spot on.Dining room was fairly empty and tables spaced apart to ensure social distancing. Waitress and staff were masks and single use condiments being used. Good job
Very down south BBQ PORK RIBS FALL OFF THE BONE.. loved the fried peach pie
Always a pleasure! The entire menu is wonderful! The staff is always nice and helpful. I could eat here 3 or 4 times a week and never get tired of it!
Candace! Great server serving great food!!!
Wonderful ...warm friendly fast service highly recommend
If you like vinegar based bbq and slaw you will love this place. I however do not. Staff was good but i only liked the potato salad. The theme of the place is very cool and pig related. They seem to have an open BBQ pit that isn't operational. Despite my experience I would recommend trying it. They sell cool themed the shirts. Just because I didn't care for the sauce but the ribs were cooked very well. The priced seemed like a good deal and the portions are big. Rethinking I'm giving them one more star.
I am Dr. Roslyn R. Sprayberry and I am originally from Newnan. Sprayberry's Barbecue is the best. If you want the best, Sprayberry's meets the test.
Been eating there for years! Good Stuff!
Just remember this. The Lewis Grizzard. A delicious BBQ sandwich accompanied by Brunswick stew and homemade onion rings. Need I say more. While you're at it get a little extra barbecue sauce to dip your sandwich and onion rings in. Treat yourself to this you deserve it
It was the worst BBQ I ever had. It was supposed to be pulled pork but they gave me chicken. The sauce was so watery and vinegary. Those supposed to be onion rings more like chopped and battered onions with no salt or seasoning. Brunswick slop and the potatoe salad tasted like potatoes and mustard only. NEVER EAT HERE. And I paid $15.52 for this trash. That's all I could eat, just a waste
Historic old time BBQ place right out of the 1950s
Always the best Brunswick stew! The Lewis Grizzard special is my go to--chopped pork sandwich, that stew, and housemade onion rings. And don't forget the extra sweet pickles! Plus they have the best ice in town. Sprayberrys is my standard for barbecue.
Love the old school feel and the brunswick stew! And sweet tea like my grandmother makes! Yum.
I have been coming to sprayberry’s since birth, today was the first day of disappointment in 40 yrs. customer service was not good, my hamburger was so dry and just crumbled in my mouth (the meat itself) I hope that my favorite restaurant is not changing with the times. Down home southern BBQ with a pinch of southern hospitality is what made Sprayberry’s stand out from the rest.
The older location has always put out some good food
Grwt food, great value. Really enjoyed the turkey!
BBQ sauce is vinegar-based and very runny. Does not coat meat, just runs straight off. Flavor of pork is good, but not much smokyness. Portion size is a bit small compared to price. Biggest complaint was service: server was more concerned with her cellphone than she was with taking my order.
Oh man this little local spot here in sprayberry geogia, it is sooooooooo good! The food, staff and place was all very nice. They have been here for a very long time and I can see why. They are very friendly and make your food so fresh and tasty. Keep up guys..
Great Brunswick stew
Cobblers are awesome! BBQ, Brunswick stew, and lunch specials are awesome as well.
Anyone who grew up in central Georgia has wonderful memories of BBQ at Sprayberry's.
Great food and great service. We had the sweetest waitress.
Today Door Dash messed up my order and these wonderful people not only gave me what I ordered, they gave me my money back. I honestly thought when I left that I was given the couple dollar difference of what I paid but they gave me the amount I paid for that part of the meal that was messed up. They definitely did not have to do that!! Thank you for being so kind during this crazy time when things are so uncertain!!! 😁
I love barbecue and I used to eat here a long time ago with my grandaddy. I stopped by last week and got what my grandaddy used to get, the Lewis Grizzard special. Lewis was special but this wasn't. The onion rings were slimy and the meat was dry. I've had better Barbecue from a box at the grocery store. Don't waste your time or money.
Brunswick stew not good. But barbecue and onion rings are great.
It use to be good before his children inherited it 30 years ago, now it's just about the money. They don't care if the food is good or not.
Definitely not worth the drive off the interstate. The chef salad only was lettuce and about 5 pieces of tomatoes. No cheese, cucumber, or anything else. I got pulled pork with my salad and the meat was cold. My husband got the chopped pork and it was not enough to come close to filling him up. The stew that came with his dinner looked like slopp. He left hungry.
No taste! I waited over an hour for this to be delivered to me. Fried fish is crispy, but it has no taste. Fries are soggy and oily. Bland as well. Mac and cheese might as well go in the trash. It taste like instant craft. Home made where? Won’t order again. Waste of money unless you like to season your own food an hour after waiting for it.
This restaurant has been serving classic Georgia BBQ in Newnan since 1926. We take all our out-of-state friends there for a chopped pork sandwich and bowl of Brunswick stew. Sprayberry's is a family owned restaurant that has served generations of local residents as well as visitors to the "City of Homes."
Great food and friendly service, and a touch of history. And one upside to the other location closing is, now the original location has better chairs than it used to.
Great customer service and very nice people.
Good food and service, great place to have barbeque!
Meat was very dry and plain and bbq sauce was thin as water and super vinegary I thought it was a bowl of soup untill she said it was extra sauce
Always loved Sprayberry's!
I have always love Sprayberry's BBQ and Stew. All there food is great!! I have been eating there about 36 years. They have great service and are Pleasant to be around.
We stopped for a quick lunch on our way to an event in Americus & very glad we did! Great service, delicious food & both fast too! Highly recommended.
Pretty good food. Bbq, stew and onion rings. Best sweet tea in town.
